She encounters an angel named Finn Fish who gives her a mission from God to seal away Demons attempting to steal the beauty in human hearts to increase the devil's powers. Through a hair ribbon, she can transform into "Kaito Jeanne" , the reincarnation of Jeanne D'Arc, and capture the demons. Maron is depicted as a lonely young woman who hides her feelings behind a warm smile. She has no contact with her parents from years until they call during the series to tell her they are divorcing.
