Sayaka is Madoka's classmate who cares deeply for her friends, and wants to help an ill boy named Kyosuke Kamijo. After helping Madoka rescue Kyubey, she eventually becomes a Puella Magi, using her wish to cure Kyosuke's hand, which was injured in an accident which robbed him of his ability to play the violin. Sayaka's weapon of choice is a cutlass and, like Mami, she can produce multiple cutlasses at a time. She also has regenerative powers stronger than anyone else. Sayaka hates people who think only of themselves, so she becomes incredibly distrustful and even hateful towards others. Sayaka falls into despair after learning the truth that her Soul Gem is a container for her soul.
